NEW BUILDER needs help. I've read reviews of products and put together a system here: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/YdCBxr and I'm looking to shave off $200-$300. I ONLY play World of Warcraft, but I do want to play on Ultra. I think this system is probably overkill, but I don't know enough about PCs to know where I can trim the price down. I've played at 20fps on my laptop for far too long. Please help. I will be playing wirelessly (connection is good) and I'm not looking for the crazy multi screen setup. I have a monitor http://www.cnet.com/products/gateway-fpd2275w/specs/ but would consider upgrading to a better one if I can save some money on the system. Your help is greatly appreciated, as I have not used a PC in over a decade and I'm strictly building this as a toy

GTX 770 and a core i5 4690k with any 8gb of any ddr3 1600 mhz ram will get you 60+ fps on ultra in wow. You can save money on the other hardware, but don't skimp.

Make sure you buy a decent psu.

Admirable
- no need for Z97, especially Z97 Extreme6 (H97 is fine) or you could get a much cheaper Z97.
- no need for an SSD for just WoW, knock it down to a 1TB HDD
- you can also step down to an R9 270X

voila you have saved $200

A SSD wont have huge benefits when playing games, but if you want to stick to an SSD i would recommend dropping down to something like the Samsung 840 EVO sense you won’t notice the performance differences just playing wow between it and the 850 pro. so that's a $60 savings.

updated with motherboard change, video card change, (left the SSD for speed and general usage, but dropped to the 840 EVO)

anyone else have an opinion? I'd like to drop it into the $700 range

keep in mind that I do want to play on Ultra settings....Low just doesn't make it as fun any more. I'm not heart set on many of these parts (except the CPU, AMD FX-6300 would be my alternative), so anything is up for a change so long as I'm able to maintain 60+ FPS on Ultra in any situation (I understand that might take a little over gearing, but I don't want to pay extra for stuff I really don't need). At the same time, since I'm building the machine, I don't want to come up short of my goals. Surely there are some experienced users out there who can chime in and help me out. I do like the SSD for loading screen times as well as running apps in the background (spotify, Skype, mumble, and perhaps some streaming). Please keep this in mind - I don't know if I'd need a better video card to stream with or not.

your help is much appreciated

they were only interested in Maxing out World of Warcraft though, and that system looks like it should do that just fine.

below are benchmarks with a Intel Core i7-4770K @ 4.2 GHz with the R9 270x in WOW.

I don't know enough about WOW to advise if dropping down to an i3 or Pentium Anniversary edition would still be sufficient for driving the game on ultra.
