Hey guys,
I'm trying to build a computer so I can do mostly regular things such as web-browsing and word processing, as well as watch Netflix and be a casual gamer. The game I'm really trying to play is Fallout 4; and will also play Star Wars: Empire at War, Romance of the Three Kingdoms 13 and older titles such as CIV V and Total War: Rome II. This will be my first computer build and I'm frankly confused by the vast array of lingo for this artisan community.

As far as Accelerated Processing Unit (APU)

I'm looking at getting either a AMD A10 7700K 3.8 Ghz Black Edition APU/GPU ($90 from Microcenter) or an AMD FX8320E Black Edition 3.2 GHz eight core socket AM3+ processor (also $90 from Microcenter). I gather that if I get the FX8320, I'll also need to get a separate Graphics Processing Unit (GPU), which will cost me more money... which I would obviously like to avoid, if I can.

I wanted to pair my APU with 16 GB of RAM, possibly G.SKILL Sniper Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1866 or Crucial Ballistix Sport 16GB DDR3-1600; depending on the motherboard (MOBO).

Given my MOBO choice will be dependent on whether I choose the AM3+ or FM2 architecture... That could vary, but I'm looking for a decent MOBO with a couple front USB ports (at least 2) and at least 2-3 in the back as well (keyboard, mouse). I was considering a Gigabyte GA-F2A88XM-D3HP FM2 /FM2 Micro ATX AMD Motherboard with USB Type-C or MSI 970 Gaming AM3+ ATX AMD Motherboard (Microcenter has a $40 off Combo deal, APU/MOBO).

For power supply/case; I wanted to go with a Corsair so
Corsair CX650M 650 Watt ATX Modular Power Supply
Corsair Graphite Series 230T Compact Mid Tower Computer Case - Black
or
Corsair Carbide Series SPEC-02 Redshift ATX Special Edition Gaming Case w/ Red LED Fans

Thought about adding 1TB of hard drive + maybe a SSD for the OS. Will a 32GB SSD suffice for the OS or do I have to buy a larger SSD? (SanDisk ReadyCache 32GB SATA III 6Gb/s Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) SDSSDRC-032G-G226 (3.5 inch Bracket with Screws))

So for conciseness:
AMD A10 7700K 3.8 Ghz Black Edition APU/GPU
16 GB of RAM DDR3
FM2 MOBO
Corsair CX650M 650 Watt ATX Modular Power Supply
Corsair Case

Total: ~$450-500?

or

AMD FX8320E Black Edition 3.2 GHz eight core socket AM3+ processor
16 GB of RAM DDR3
AM3+ MOBO
Corsair CX650M 650 Watt ATX Modular Power Supply
Corsair Case

+ 2GB GPU? (Any recommendations?)

Total: ~$550-600 (Depending on GPU)

Biggest questions:
-Will these builds play Fallout 4 decently?
*Is the AMD A10 7700K with integrated R7 graphics is sufficient?
*If choosing the FX8320 platform; what's a decent graphics card choice balancing cost/end means?

-Am I missing anything?
*Are these parts compatible?

Solution
The APU is too weak both on the CPU and iGPU side for Fallout 4 (and upcoming games). If you can stretch your budget by about 50-60$ and get a Windows key from Kinguin you can get a system that can run practically any game at least for the next 2-3 years at 1080p ultra settings.

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

CPU: Intel Core i3-6100 3.7GHz Dual-Core Processor ($110.99 @ SuperBiiz)
Motherboard: MSI Z170A SLI PLUS ATX LGA1151 Motherboard ($118.99 @ SuperBiiz)
Memory: Kingston FURY 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-2133 Memory ($53.99 @ SuperBiiz)
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($47.49 @ OutletPC)

The only thing I didn't add is the GPU. Your best choice would be an Rx 480 coming out in early July for 200$. If you don't wish to stretch your budget, you can still get a very good experience (albeit not as good future proofing) from an Rx 470.
