1st Time Building a Computer

I'm trying to wrap my head around what the best CPU and Motherboard combination would be for my needs....The computer will mainly be used for surfing the web and downloading....I do enjoy gaming however, and realize I will need to buy a separate graphics card to handle my needs, like Diablo 3, FarCry 3, etc. I don't play daily but when I do I go for a few hours at a time. I know nothing about overclocking and would probably never do it to be honest. I was looking at the Intel i5 3570, wondering what you guys think and what Mobo would be a good fit for this?
