1st time building a gaming pc

Hello everybody, I'm about to build my own gaming pc for the first time, so i'm not sure if all the parts I chose are compatible or if I should change some pieces. My max budget is 1000$ (no monitor, keyboard or mice). There are two thing I need for the computer. I need a quad core CPU and a modular power supply.

CPU: Intel Core i5-3570K 3.4 GHz

Memory: CORSAIR Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800)

HDD: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" Internal Hard Drive (WD10EZEX)

CD/DVD burner: LG 24X DVD Burner-Black SATA Model GH24NS95 - OEM

Case: Corsair Vengeance Series C70 Gunmetal Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

I'm planning to buy all the components in early April, but there's no big rush or something.

I'd change the motherboard to an Asus P8Z77-V LX and the Video card to a 650

The concept of the mid range gaming PC is pretty much going to be a machine that gives gamers the best “bang for the buck”.For a 1,000 bucks i go for this

Yep all looks good except the GPU go with minimum HD7850 or GTX650Ti

You are overkill on your CPU choice if you are not going to OC, if you are why not get the i5 2500k and with the money saved get the best GPU you can afford. Make you a budget for each part
