1st timer that needs advice on new build

Hello!

I've recently started playing computer games such as WoW, Skyrim, and etc. It just so happened that my motherboard decided to get fried in my normal computer yesterday and i'm now looking to build one so that I don't waste a ton of money on buying a whole one. The problem is that i've never built one before and there are too many options to choose from even after being guided from videos on websites like teksyndicate and etc. I put one together on pcpartpicker and I would like some input on whether this is good enough to play games like WoW and Skyrim on decent settings. I would also like to know whether or not I need to buy anything else at all to have a good running gaming computer. Here's the build

if your old HDD is SATA, then it should work fine.

If you have a micro center near you they have a special of 40 dollars off with the purchase of a i5-3570k @ 169.99. Can't really beat that deal.

What's the reasoning behind not getting the SSD? Btw my HDD is only 250gb and is the SSD just not that much faster or is a better video card going to have a ton more benefits?

After looking at Screwysqrl and Hiii's suggestion I switched a bunch of stuff up and decided to try a faster cpu, a different case, and a better video card.

Do you think there's any better video cards for the price? Also, it says that the usb 3.0 ports won't work with the case chosen. Is that a big price and if so, how is it fixable?

No, that won't do, that psu that comes with the case will not powerup the 6870, see a good price/performance intel buid :
You have an option of latter on, switch for an i5 or i7 ivybridge with pcie 3.0 support(in the future), the psu is really a good one and for a 660 gtx will do, by the way the 660 gtx is a much powerful card than the 6870, it beats the 7850.
