1tb hard disk not ditecting

sir im using 1tb segates storage plus hard disk,frm few days when im connecting it to my system it is not detecting ,the light on the hard disk is going off within 15 seconds.can i fix it of my own,plz tell me if u have any solution

hi there,

you need to format the drive for the system to be able to recognise it. Formating means setting up a file system for f.e. Windows to read and write from it.

Just google for a guide on how to do so, it really isn't complicated.
