1tb Hard Drive says it's full but it isn't

So I have a second 1tb WD Black hard drive where I store all my games and files but I can no longer move anything into the hard-drive even tho windows says I have 693gb of free space. There seems to be a limit of 237gb.

I reformatted but I still have these problems. Should I RMA it? Or should I convert it from FAT32 to NTFS? (Last resort as I also dual boot with OSX and use that to transfer files across from each other).

I did a sector scan and it came up as all good so I'm pretty confused about what's going on here.

Solution
Well, then most probably, this is related to the file format. Just back up the important stuff and reformat it to NTFS.

Hi there Dr_Heath_,

Sorry that you are facing some issues with your WD drive. 🙁

So, this should be your secondary drive right?(you have a dual boot primary one)

Is the whole drive allocated(Disk Management)? Could you post a screenshot of Disk Management? In case it is not, you will need to allocate that.

Cheers,

Yes it is my second drive ( I have two other SSD's each with a OS on them)

My OSX drive is currently not in the machine

Do you get some sort of an error message?
So you have checked the drive's health status right? I believe it will not hurt to test it with WD's DLG(short and extended tests) tool as well: http://products.wdc.com/support/kb.ashx?id=itj5IR

Fat32 has some limitations. Have you tried to transfer smaller files?(less than 4 GB)

If the drive is in a healthy conditions, then I believe this could be related to the files system. Reformatting to NTFS may be a good idea.

Yes, I did a sector scan and everything came back up as normal.

I can't seem to transfer files bigger than 200mb
