1TB hard drive suggestions?

Solution
That is a good pick. The Western Digital Blue 1TB is $60, but the warranty time is cut in comparison to the Black edition.
WD Black drives are some of the best available right now, not just in performance but in reliability and warranty support. We use those exact hard drives in a good number of our custom builds from my office.

Ok, thanks for the reply! I will probably just go with the Black and spend a extra 20-30 dollars. But thank you for the quick response!

Thanks for the reply, I went to best buy to see in they had any caviar black drives in stock and I guess they don't carry them anymore. But they guy said that their new "Mainstream" drives were better. Does anyone know if this is true or should I just go with the caviar black? Thanks.

This is the drive he was talking about: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Mainstream+1TB+Internal+Serial+ATA+Hard+Drive+for+Desktops/9312067.p;jsessionid=DA0BD402BC5EB87658D427F2BC0BC904.bbolsp-app01-167?id=1219011388237&skuId=9312067&st=wd%20mainstream&cp=1&lp=6

The drive that you linked to (what they are calling the WD "Mainstream"?) is far from the WD Black drive. First, this is a SATA 3 Gbps drive, while the WD Black is a SATA 6 Gbps interface. The WD Black has 64 MB onboard cache which can make a pretty great difference in performance, and comes with a 5 year warranty versus the 2 year of the "mainstream". I would not recommend it.

Ok thanks for the information!
