Im thinking of getting a wd blue 1tb for all my games and the i have a 250gb wd blue right now for all of my stuff what should i do and don't anyone tell me otherwise of what i should buy because wd blue seems to be working excellent for me im going to put videos and sony vegas after effects and other stuff like that on the 1 tb im going to be buying have a the operating system on the 250g and all my files any everything and im getting a 1tb any way if you guys guys try to stop me and say you can get this for a lot cheaper its just a little less storage and don't pull that ssd S**t on me i don't want one yet so yea give me your opinion on how i should do this thing like data management

the last 160gb harddrive I had I used for years and never got close to filling it up and that's all my games programs and the rest of the junk that was on there over the years.. I'm using a 500gb now and that's only because my buddy ordered 1 and a mix up got him 2 so I just took it off his hands I don't ever see filling it up or coming close.

I recommend you check out userbenchmark to make sure you're getting a good version of Blue. They come in different versions, and some WD Blue drives are a lot faster than others. http://hdd.userbenchmark.com/

Personally, I would just add a 500GB drive since by the time I fill 1TB it's all random junk and stuff I never look at anyway.

Aside from that, if you get a 1TB drive, then I would use the 250GB for games, and use the 1TB for the OS, storage, and programs.
This is my logic:
1. Putting games on their own drive will ensure load times remain optimal (assuming the HDD speeds are similar).
2. 250GB isn't quite enough for storage, so that defaults the 1TB drive to storage and programs rather than games.

But it's your choice, ofc.
I'm also not getting an SSD yet. Way too expensive imo, and I don't like the idea of them wearing out.

what the heck are you guys storing?? bluray movies?? and how many games I got 45 and get nowere near needing that much storage. and that's with everything else running on the drive? I think the most I ever filled was 134gb and that was like 4 years of stuff.

Yeah, I'm honestly not sure why I'm always near 500GB. I have maybe 10 games installed, between 1GB-10GB each, so probably 50GB worth of games. Then I have Steam, a few extra programs like 7zip, Nvidia Inspector, etc. I store about 1GB worth of pictures. Windows is taking 20GB. Overall I should really be using about 200GB at most, the extra 300GB might just be from leftover junk files and partially uninstalled crap.
