1tb or 2tb

I would like to know if I should get a 1tb hdd or a 2tb hdd I prefer western digital also since im going with western digital which should I get black,blue or green? Also if im going with black then should I get an ssd or not because if I should get an ssd then should I go with the samsung 840 evo 120gb? (this question is for a first build)

you should not buy any HDD.
or just buy the 840evo 120 since that's what you want.

on a more serious note, WD Blue is only 1TB and no 2TB. for 2TB+ you'd be looking at green/red/black only. i read great things about red, and they appear to outperform greens even considering their slightly higher price.

price-wise the 1TB stuff is expensive, and 2TB / 3TB are quite cheap. 4TB get expensive again. talking about dollars-per-terabyte here...

A 120gb SSD and a 2tb WD black is a good performance combo. If you don't need the HDD to be a performance model the Red or green is a good choice for a storage drive, not so good a gaming drive.
