Hello and thanks to anyone who will bother to read.

I have this 1TB Seagate Barracuda that makes strange noises at boot, but after a couple of minutes it does the loading sound "vvvv" and becomes readable via usb.
It used to be readable straightaway.

Here is a video that shows what happens, by some coincidence it does the loading sound "vvvv" and becomes readable via usb exactly when i place my hand on it, minute 1;05

Thanks monkey, I use 2 HD as backup (both with the same data) this problematic one and another.

I suppose I should try to put it in my PC (it was my PC original HD later replaced with an SSD)

But there is no OS installed.

Is smart showing anything?

I don't know smart, is it a software to check the HD? I have zero experience in this field.

Thanks for the help.

Use speedfan to check the smart variables. It'll give you an idea as to the health of the drive.

Thanks again and sorry for delay. I only used speedfan once to check a laptop's cpu temperature.

I put it inside as main without os (screen was black with serial number)
Long story short it started to spin at once without delay or noise...

Now I am not sure which one to buy among these 2, the first mentions this UASP function but it's a brand I never heard of before.
Do they all have this "UASP" function?
