1TB Seagate FreeAgent GoFlex external HD Storage data disappeared.

Hi, first pardon me for my English. I am using 1TB Seagate FreeAgent GoFlex external HD (as a drive F in my system), few days ago my HD showed contains folder as a shortcut and when I open any, they opened in a new window. After few days, all folder stopped opening, and a message window appeared and says, "Windows cannot find ‘F:\.Trashed\b3fdadef.com’. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again." And now all the folder and files are disappeared. However, still my windows show me the "drive f" having storage data, could anyone please help me on this.

Thanks for respond Phillip, as per your suggestion, I tested the drive with Sea Tools but still no luck.

Hi all.

Here i share my simple knowledge i just get last night after 3 month find the answer.

seagate make this software because of to much problem and feed back from customer ( i think) because to much customers world wide not read the manual before clean / format the hard drive.

Here..
1. http://knowledge.seagate.com/articles/en_US/FAQ/206303en (step by step)
2. http://www.seagate.com/support/downloads/item/fa-go-desk-xtreme-sw-master/ ( software seagate manager )

Just install no need to restart.
Much problem here is when we connect a drive.. Always get unknown device and cannot be update. So..
3. http://knowledge.seagate.com/articles/en_US/FAQ/201235en (how to solve the unknown device and make our drive display into system manager). No need to restart yet after uninstall the unknow device and pull out the drive 1st. Then...
4. Download slimdriver (driver auto update ). Update all driver...
5. Restart.
6. Put external drive again and check with seagate manager software. Drive detected..
