2.1 Speakers

I need to get some new speakers 'cause the ones i have now are more or less worthless. What brand/model should i buy if i'm looking for a 2.1 setup?

I'd like to spend under $80 or so, so that pretty much rules out any Klipsch speakers i believe. I'm just looking for the best sound i can get for a relatively low amount of money.

Altec Lansing is an excellent company.

If you have a sound card with a Digital output, try Boston Acoustics. I've been very impressed with them. Even if you don't have Digital, the speakers have an analog input, too.

I also had a good experience with Boston Acoustics before I replace them with Klipsch.

Altec Lansing is an excellent company

I've got a 2.1 Altec Lansing system. I've had it for almost two years now. It cost me ~$40 if I remember correctly, and has worked well.

I have the atp5's and damn they are sweet. My next sound system (w/ comp upgrade) will be a 7.1 or better system. mwahaha.
