2.4ghz or 5ghz wifi connection

Is there a way to see if my WiFi device is using 2.4ghz or 5ghz wifi connection?

I haven't found a way to differentiate connections on i devices, Pad, Phone or Pod. So I use a identifying SSIDs, something like Mywifi2 and Mywifi5. The i devices still prefer to connect at 2.4 GHz but at least I can select the faster 5 GHz if needed.
