2 Ball Start

Spent a few hours cleaning up my Williams Space Station find.
When I turn on the pin, and press the start button, 2 balls always go up
into the shooter lane.
I'll take one out of the lane (glass is off) and put in back down in the
ball drain and another will fire up into the shooter lane to takes it place.
The third one always stay in the spot nextt to the shooter lane ready to pop
out in the lane.
This is a pain since I can't get two balls to make it up the ramp and I
pretty much have to leave the glass off to play it.
Any suggestions? All the trough switches seem ok and click the micro
switches. The games calls for 3 balls on the sticker.

Recheck those through switches with a dmm on continuity settings and
also see if any of the diodes are missing or installed backwards.

Its bound to be the trough switches. I had the exact same problem with
firepower, turned out to be that one of the trough switches would bend down
and stick on once a ball activated the switch. To fix I removed the switch,
took the stack apart straightened the blades and then reassembled with one
of the blades turned around so that the gold contacts touched each other.
Then put the switch back in and adjusted it.

No problems since.

The wire trip the ball rolls over, go over them carefully to be sure they
aren't binding anywhere - trough sides, kicker arm - etc. LTG :)
