I've searched and seen alot about onedrive but not getting any results for my specific problem

I want to make my true desktop folder, user/username/desktop, the stuff i see when i'm looking at the desktop on my computer first thing after startup.

right now after boot, looking at the icons on the desktop, that desktop path goes here, user/username/onedrive/desktop

I thought i removed onedrive by deleting it here:
Control Panel > System > Advanced system settings > Advanced tab > Environment Variables button

I don't want or need onedrive at all. my computer is newish and i think when i was setting it up i might have selected onedrive by accident and when i started to copy stuff to the C: drive after a bit it said onedrive was full.....that was the first i knew i must have pushed a wrong button.

Do i just go into users/username and delete the onedrive icon in that folder,?

thanks for the link but that page talks about keeping onedrive. I'd like to remove it completely
