I have searched the forums slightly and have learned that this should potentially be possible but I am still uncertain on a few things.

So right now i have a single Radeon HD 7870 running an eyefinity setup. I have an extra monitor that was given to me a while back and I would like to place this one above the middle eyefinity monitor but have this one in extended mode. My current GPU has the ports (2x display, 1 HDMI, 1DVI) but Would this be to much strain on my PC?

I also have a Radeon HD 5770 not being used, so would it be possible to have the new monitor run off of this card to lessen the load on the 7870, or would there be a performance decrease?

operating system is Windows 8 right not but can be switched back to 7 if needed.

Thank you for the reply, but the problem is i have 3 monitors running off the 7870 and wanted to add a fourth without decreasing performance as much as possible.

I Believe the 7870 can handle the 4 monitors, so do you think it would be better to just use them all on that card or place the 5770 in there as well for the fourth monitor?
