I'm making a big upgrade from a nvidia gt620 to a Radeon RX590. I have a hp omen for gaming and a junk acer for a secondary screen. My question being is it possible to use the Nvidia and radeon on same board? and would it be worth it to try and use the gt620 for the junk monitor and the rx590 for the gaming? or should i just use the rx590 for both? I'm kinda new to the PC building world so go easy on me please haha. Quick internet research looks like some people have done this or something similar but i want other peeps opinions, i appreciate it

Solution
I've done it with a Nivida Quadro and a AMD Firepro for a specialized application, so it has a good chance of working with your cards.

I'd say it is not worth it, hang both monitors off the new card instead.
