Hello,

Can I put my old videocard the gtx 650 in my new rig with the gtx 970? Will it improve my fps in game? How does it work? Is it a good or bad idea? Can someone please explain this to me?

Solution

You can use the 650 as a dedicated physx card which will give some fps gain the only problem is you must have a psu capable of running two gpus at the same time and not all games support dedicated physx cards. Alone the 970 will be powerful enough to run most games 1080p maxed out without a physx card.
