You can run 2x fans on a splitter without issues. It's been years since fans used more than 0.5A per fan for standard pc fans. Today's fans run @ 0.14A-0.32A so anywhere from 3-5 fans is normal usage, depending on the exact fans used. Arctic fans are almost always on the low end of the scale, usually @ 0.12A-0.2A.
