2 GPUs = One for mining another for everything else?

Hi guys... I´m kind a newbie in all this computer stuff... I have a R9 280X Vapor X (3gDDR5) in my computer (mobo is a sabertooth mark s) and want to buy an Asus gtx970 turbo (4gDDR5), OS will be Windows 10 Pro... my question is, can I have installed both gpus and dedicate one (R9) to bitcoin mining an the other one (Gtx970) to everything else (gaming, OS, and so...)? If yes, what do I need to configure the settings? Thanks in advance.

Have you ever mined before? First, you don't mine bitcoins on GPU's anymore. Bitcoin went to ASIC mining, as has most other crypto mining. I don't even think there is any money is GPU mining anymore. It's all ASIC mining.

And there isn't much money in ASIC mining unless you spend hundreds of thousands or millions to get enough ASIC chips running to beat out the competition.
And even if you do your electricity costs likely won't be offset by the price of bitcoins.

thanks to all for your answers... so I got I'm too late for mining but, what else would you do with a GPU like the R9 280X vapor X 3gD5.... just reselling it? something new like bitcoin was back in the time any suggestions?.... thanks again

Keep the 280x and play games on it. Don't bother buying a 970 and dumping $400+ on a card that will do a bit better than the 280x at 1080p.
