2 HDD with windows

Hi,
i recently both a used computer with windows xp, and i wanted more space in my pc, so i connected the hdd from my old pc, but it was with windows too. it started to ask for some verification or something, so i disconected the second hdd and restarted the pc, but it still requires for verification from microsoft or something. what to do now? how to make him work atleast on 1 hdd without verification?
