I have two 160GB 7.2K rpm HDD's in Raid 0 and have installed Windows 10 on it. The problem is it reads faster than a single HDD in Windows, but on the other
hand it takes longer to boot up.

Why is this? How can I solve it?

The second part to your question, answer is getting an SSD and ditching the HDD's or recylcing them as storage drives. Mind sharing the specs to your build like so:

Yes, that is typical.
It takes longer for the RAID array to initialize.

The solution is a single SSD.
MX500, 500GB, $65.
