I have a AMD FX 8350, At the moment it is not OC'd but I might be planning to OC it mildly at some point if it starts to lack in performance (I don't think it will but you never know) I was planning on getting a H60 off amazon for $60 but I am in New Zealand so I have to pay import tax and it ends up as being more than the $100 dollars it costs here.

I've decided to go for a cheaper air cooler.

I have to choose between this cooler with 2 fans and 2 heatpipes for $15

or this cooler with 4 heatpipes and 1 fan for $32 which is double the cost

I know they aren't the "best" brands but I think they'd do better than the stock cooler.

Is the extra cooling I'm going to get from 4 heatpipes worth paying an extra 17 dollars?

Thanks :)

Between the two, the second one is probably the better buy, purely because of the four heatpipes and slightly larger fan, but that's a pretty baseless opinion given that neither cooler has any performance charts. The FX-8350 has a high TDP and can generate a lot of heat. Both coolers may be absolutely fine and do a good job, just don't expect them to perform much better than the stock cooler.

Personally, when it comes to processor cooling, I want something I know is reputable.

It's not sold in New Zealand and its $56 dollars and aliexpress, why shouldn't I get the other one's off aliexpress? I mean I know coolers which aren't proper brands aren't supposed to be good but I mean it looks alright to me?

Anyone can make a CPU cooler that looks alright, but whether it performs is a different matter entirely, I wouldn't get one from a no name brand, and would recommend you save up a bit more and get the Cooler Master 212. The stock cooler should be fine for now.

Would this cooler be any good?
