Question 2 identical monitors, both hdmi, only 1 hdmi port in my pc, 144hz with an adapter?

Hi there... Need some help if possible, thanks in advance..


2 monitors, both HDMI, both 144hz.

I would like to use both monitors, and I need both monitors to run 144hz.

I only have one HDMI port in my PC, so currently I can only use one monitor.

So if I need to use my second monitor, I need to use an adapter, correct?

Which type adapter do I need exactly, and does any adapter work? Or will it run lower hz than 144 then?...

These are my 3 monitor ports, the middle one being HDMI:

I'm using: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 - Graphics card, if this is important..

The 2 monitors are: ACER, KG241Q-144HZ, 24"

Edit: The reason for the screenshot is, I do not know the names of the 2 other ports, only know the name of HDMI...

The one on the left is DVI. The one on the right is Displayport. I would recommend getting a Displayport to HDMI adapter to use for connecting the second display. Something like this:

No, apparently that adapter won't support 144hz. Still looking...

Might ? I'm not a rich man, can't buy multiple ones, isn't there a way to find out if it supports 144hz?

The KG241Q has a DisplayPort input, your graohics card has DisplayPort output. Just use a DisplayPort cable.

According to the specs of the model you posted the monitor has 1 hdmi and 1 displayport connection. So simply use hdmi for 1 and displayport for the other.

Thanks, makes sense, but I do not have a cable..? When I google cables for the monitor, I don't see anywhere I can buy them though?

Yea nevermind, its basically just a cable that works with all displayports....
I thought I needed a specific cable for the monitor.
