2 Imput devices at the same time?

Ok, so I am either building or buying (haven't decided yet) a system that uses Windows 8. I know it was mainly designed for touch screens. I was wondering if it was possible to use my Razer Deathadder and a Logitech T650 Touchpad at the same time. I'm not talking about having two cursors. What I mean is being able to switch back and forth between the two without unplugging anything. Thanks in advance for replies!

Yeah, thats what I was thinking. It's just that people on this forum are generally much smarter than me when it comes to this stuff.

you can have multiple mice and keyboards working at the same time, well not moving/typing at the same time, but switching back and forth.
