Hello.
If take a look at RAM kits with various sticks number, but with the same specs (frequency, timings, etc.) - are the RAM sticks in these kits the same?
For example, let's take these kits: G.Skill F4-3600C17Q-64GTZR and G.Skill F4-3600C17D-32GTZR. According to their specifications everything is the same, besides the sticks number in a kit.
So, can I replace 1 kit of 64 Gb with 2 RAM kits of 32 Gb with the same frequency/timings (with keeping it work stable on the same frequency/timings)?
This question may seem to be a bit wierd, so let me just describe my situation to get everything clear.
My M/B is ASUS ROG MAXIMUS XI EXTREME (Z390). And I’m planning to get 64 Gb of RAM. But I have a choice – install one F4-3600C17Q-64GTZR kit or two of F4-3600C17D-32GTZR kit. And I’m not sure if two of F4-3600C17D-32GTZR work in the same way good as one F4-3600C17Q-64GTZR should (as specified in MoBo Qvl list). So, is it OK to install 2 kits of F4-3600C17D-32GTZR instead of 1 kit of F4-3600C17Q-64GTZR (for example, if I fail finding it in stock)? Will 2 kits of F4-3600C17D-32GTZR still work stable with the specified frequency and timings?
