2 monitor setup worth it?

Bought a asus ROG predator PG279 1440p @165Hz Is there any massive benefits in having 2 displays or should I sell my old monitor (acer 1440p@60Hz. Thanks for your opinions.

If you do multitasking(and productivity tasks) and are constantly gaming on one monitor, then yeah the dual monitor setup is worth it. If you work off of one monitor regardless of duties, then stick to one monitor. Might I ask what your GPU and full system's specs are? Driving two monitors at higher resolutions will demand more from the GPU.

I have a intel i5-7600k gtx 1080 8gb Asus prime z270-p MOBO. But yeah I only use it for gaming at the moment, done some video editing in the past for some ski videos, but would it be worth selling the old monitor and replacing with maybe a 1080p display?

Keep it.
It will not reduce your gaming capability when attached as a side monitor to your GTX1080.
Put some performance monitors or email on the second monitor.

For any internet browsing, a second monitor is very useful.

At the very least, attach it and see how you like it. I see no reason to downgrade from 1440P to 1080P
