Hello!
I intend to overhaul all my work station/gaming desk with a new pc and monitor.
I am planing on an ultra wide 1440p monitor tu use as a primary along with my old 1080p standart monitor in portrait.
The main question is - how much would graphically intense games suffer from having the second monitor just on or Spotify opened on it and a game running on the main (ultrawide) monitor.
I cant quite find an answer for this so I decided to ask You! The community and maybe some of you have experience with this.

Solution
The impact is negligible if the second monitor is just using standard desktop apps. I have a 4k rig for gaming and a secondary old 1920x1080 monitor and I have never had an issue with the secondary monitor in similar situations like you describe, and Ive tested with the secondary monitor connected and not connected. Ultimately it depends on your video card and what apps you run on each screen though. A game on one screen and say a different rendering app like CAD or something will probably give different results.
