I have GTX 1050 (Doesn't need 6-pin)
It has DVI port that is connected to my 1st monitor with dvi
My 2nd monitor doesnt have hdmi/display port/DVI, it has only VGA
Im planning im gonna use displayport to vga adapter, Active or passive?
If it requires active are there any choice that requires passive?

Solution
Anything converting to VGA should be an active adapter. VGA is analog and all the other ports you list are digital. I would save the $$$ and replace that old monitor.

You mean even on only 1 monitor? so why are people selling passive hdmi/dvi/display port to vga?

A digital output from a PC requires an active adapter to create an analog signal. 1 monitor or 12 monitors doesn't matter. If your graphics card has a DVI-I (none of the new cards do), then you can use a passive adapter. There is a quality decrease and limited resolution with VGA. You need a new monitor not an adapter.

Okay thanks for the info, damn im so dumb lol
