2 monitors will not work !

I have a lg flatron e1942 using VGA to my EVGA GeForce GT 210 520MHz 1GB PCI-Express 2.0 HDMI, i decided to buy another monitor exactly the same . Seen as this graphics card only has one VGA i connected it through VGA to HDMI adapter (the adapter is not faulty as it works on other PC's). When i plug the second monitor in both screen will go blank and the PC will not do any thing till the second one is unplugged.

Do i need a new GPU?
i was planing on getting this graphics card Asus GTX 750 Ti OC 2GB GDDR5 Dual DVI HDMI PCI-E Graphics Card and using 2 x DVI to VGA
