So I have two monitors, one for gaming (Asus) and one for other stuff (LG). The Asus one is 1920x1080 and the LG one is 1600x900. When I connect the LG monitor, it becomes my main monitor and it applies 1920x1080 resolution and it says "Out of range". The Asus monitor sets itself as the second monitor and I can use it but I cant open anything because they would appear on the "Out of Range" monitor. Is there a way to change them somehow?

One is connected from HDMI to a DVI-d with an adaptor and the other one from VGA to HDMI. I tried switching them up but it is still the same. Help

The HDMI to DVI should work fine however the VGA to HDMI needs to be a active adapter to work with the newer GPU's. As far as setting the correct resolution did you do it in the Nvidia Control Panel? If so try a lower refresh rate.
