I just got a Gigabyte x570 Aoru Elite wifi rev.1.0 mobo and a ryzen 9 3900XT. I want to do a minimum 64GB (2x32) 3600 (28800) RAM but Gigabyte's site seems to suggest that I can only do up to 16, maybe 32 with 2 x 16 or possibly 4 x 8. I tried to match the MPN numbers but no go. The question is: how and what brand will give me the 64@ 3600 speed? Am I just reading their QVL wrong? One example: 3600 G.SKILL 32GB 2Rx8 F4-3600C18Q-128GVK DS Samsung 18-22-22-42 1.35v V v 2666. So does this mean that I could only run (4x8) at 2666MHz and I should abandon the 64GB and go with 32GB of 2666? I'll just toss out the mobo if that is the case and find one that can handle 64GB 3600 minimum.

Solution
The QVL is just RAM they tested, it's not the only RAM that works with the motherboard.

None of my computers had RAM that was in the motherboard's QVL and they all worked to spec fine.

I really wanted to go w/ theMSI x570 unify unify x or the MSI X570 Gaming Edge but after two years of searching for anything I could afford, this is what became available to me first, so Gigabyte would not have been my first pick (by a lot). I just want to update the BIOS if need be, plug-in my CPU, GPU & RAM so I want to get it done right the first time. I do no gaming at all and so I doubt I will even try to OC. I just know that the 3900xt runs hot and likes fast RAM and lots of it.
