2 PC set up for streaming, is this PC good for it?

Hello guys,

I am planning on have a 2 PC stream set up, my first PC is excellent for gaming,but for streaming the CPU can get worked up a little bit, so it hit me, why not use my old PC for to stream and my good pc for gaming, of course I am aware for the procdure to do so, but I want to get your opinion guys if my old PC would be good to have it be the streaming PC.

Gaming PC/New PC specs:

i5 6600 K 3.5 GHz
1070 GTX Strix OC 8GB
16 GB RAM DDR5
Motherboard: Gigabyte H170 Gaming 3
Windows 10

Streaming PC/Old PC:

i5 2500K 3.3 GHZ
MSI - GeForce GTX 1050 2GB Video Card
Asus P8b75
16 GB RAM DDR3
Windows 10

Oh and of course I have the Elgato HD Pro.

My upload speeds are about 12 Mbps so it is good enough for 1080P 60 FPS, as of right now the only thing I can stream is 720P 60FPS since my CPU gets overworked so that is why I am trying to do a multi-PC streaming set up, I am just not sure if my old PC is good enough to be used just to stream.

your old pc is plenty fast enough to stream....my fx8350 and r290x can stream at 1080P 60fps with only 30% load on cpu and 45% on graphics card (making sure the graphics card encoding is enabled in software) (using obs and steam labs) and that hardware is alot faster....so you should be good

on a side note you did get a video capture card to install into your old system right and the cables and or spliters you will need to feed video from one to the other?

Yeah everything is working and functioning right on my old PC, havent used it in so long so it just hit me why use it to stream? Thanks for the answer man. Do you recommend I stream on the olc PC via Elgato or OBS?
