2 PCs 1 WIFI AC Adapter

Was wondering if it was possible to connect a 2 Pcs together with a ethernet Cable to allow one of the PCs to get wifi. -- I have one Desktop with a wifi usb adapter, and another desktop without one, I cannot run any ethernet cables from the router, and I want to connect the second PC without internet to the PC with the Wifi adapter, I was wondering if this is possible, or how to go about doing so.

Yes, it's possible.

You can connect one pc to another with a crossover ethernet cable as long as both have a network port.

No need for crossover cable.
For any half-recent ethernet controller straight ethernet cable is fine.
