2 PCs flickering black when moving mouse over video player

I don't know if this is the right place to put this, as the graphics cards appear to be fine. But it appears to be a "graphics related issue".

On my sons two PCs after a few minutes when watching videos on youtube, or twitch, facebook or other places if they move the mouse over the video the player has black bars that flicker as you move the mouse. Don't know how to properly explain it.

It only does this on two PCs. They rest of the PCs in the house are all ok.

The PCs use a GTX 670 OC and a 660 Ti respectively. Both have 16GB RAM, SSD boot drives, run Windows 7 x64, and use Firefox 37.0..2 (Won't upgrade past there because Firefox went off the rails from v38.0 onwards). Both of them have tried several releases of video drivers.

Both have run Firefox in safe mode.

One uses Steam, the other uses Swiftkit/Runescape.

They both have the latest version of flash player, but this happens even with HTML5 player on youtube.

I put all the software on these 2 PCs on my PC and tested it, and everything was fine.

I have put my video card in these PCs and it still occurs.

Checked video connections and replaced video cables.

Tried different ports on video cards.

It doesn't do it in stand alone players (Like VLC and PotPlayer)

This one has me stumped!

Possibly try google chrome, or run a virus scan? Also you seem like a pretty bamf mom/dad.

Thanks for your reply.

I'm not a fan of Google Chrome, but for the sake of testing I suppose I should give it a go. I'm skeptical though as every PC here runs the same browser version with the same add-on's (more or less), and only two have problems.

Sorry, I should have mentioned I had done virus scans. One of the first things we did. The PCs run Malwarebytes too.

I'm a mother. But not sure about the BAMF part <blush>

Good, malwarebytes is one of my favorites, let me know how Google chrome goes. Also bamf probrably wasn't the best choice of abreviation... Possibly awesome instead. 😛
