I have a macbook pro retina. But, I also use PC time to time (not too much).

Goals:
- I'd like to keep my info on 2 portable hard drives. (same info on each hard drive)
- One drive I'd carry with me and use often, and the other more as a backup

What I've heard:
- FAT32 is not safe and eventually the files get corrupt (2 sources said this) (ps I have no files over 4GB)
- Doing a dual partition is not safe, less safe than FAT32, you should always format for either PC or MAC. But someone else said Dual partition is safe. So, which is it?

Options:
(1) one as MAC formatted and other FAT32
Bit worried about the backup being FAT32, since that's not too safe.
(2) one as dual partition (both MAC + PC), other as FAT32
Bit worried because dual partition (according to one guy) is not safe, neither is FAT32. But I'll have 2 hard drives that will work on both.
(3) one as Mac formatted, other as PC formatted
Bit worried if one gets damaged, than I can only use my data on the good one (mac or PC)
