i have two powersupplies in one pc, one’s for everything the other is for the graphics card, i heard that if the other goes off suddenly it could damage the gpu, but what if the pc is in sleep mode and the other psu goes off, would it damage the gpu?

Solution
Unless you have the two units properly hooked up in a dual PSU system, you run a great risk of damage.
There is basically zero reason to use two power supplies anyway.

Do yourself a favor and just buy a single, decent unit.
I don't see why it would unless it spiked when it died.

If it just died....and the voltages didn't go above spec....I don't see components getting damaged.

.....and any PSU has the potential to spike when it dies.

it doesn't matter if you have one or two or ten.

i wouldn't be concerned.

Please please PLEASE do not use 2 power supply's on one system. Its very risky and just not worth it. Ive heard horror stories, but ive also heard people have no problems with it. But i would follow the better safe than sorry rule. Just buy a single PSU that can supply the whole build.
