Hey guys!
So i my set up is:
1440p rog swift
I7 4770k
16gb 2400mhz ram
Sli evga acx 780's
Since getting the rog monitor, ive not really been that happy with my performance overall. This has made me think about upgrading my gpu and going with a single card to avoid sli issues at the same time. Ive been looking and it seems like i may have to wait until the next gtx cards come out to have a single card powerful enough to max every game at 1440p.
Single 980 isnt quite good enough. The titan x looks like it could be a good choice but its overpriced. Would you guys say im right on those thoughts? If the titan x is the only option at present, do you think i should sell my 780's and work up the difference to get the titan? Or just soldier on until next year or whenever the next cards come.
On a slightly different note...Im not all that knowledgable with sli set ups, but i noticed the other day that my 2nd gpu never runs at the exactly the same voltage as my primary card. That normal? I wondered if maybe my second gpu isnt being utilised properly.
I know that one will always be hotter because they arent recieving the same amount of cool air etc.. But figured the clock speed and voltage should be the same... Theres almost 400 mhz speed difference and maybe about 100 mv When idle but havent really looked whilst under load. I shall have to take a look.
