Signs it might be failing:

Noises:
  • Loud bang (capacitor) - then darkness
  • Noisy Fan (could cause overheating)

1050 TI is really a low wattage card, any good quality PSU should be fine. You can google PSU calculator, this will help you figure out the required wattage. There are factors that will lengthen or shorten your PSU life.

  1. Smoker / live with smokers - messes up the ability to cool, stuff sticks the fan, internals.
  2. Filters on the PSU, if the PSU or case has filters, clean them.
  3. Clean the computer. Once a year, take a peek in the case? Are there dust bunnies or dead mice impacting airflow?
  4. Have a good surge protector power bar? If not, get one. I always find it funny when people drop big $$$ on...
