I have an MSI R7850 Twin Frozr gpu. It came with a connector that has 6 holes in it. My psu also has that connector and it says that it's for gpu connection. My problem is that the one that came with the gpu is missing the metal part inside one of the middle holes. The one on the psu has a metal piece inside all 6 holes.
1) Which one do I use? Is the one on my gpu just faulty or does my gpu only require 5 and using the psu 6 can ruin my gpu?
2) The gpu to molex connector that came with my gpu is basically just a power "converter " right, I mean it's there in case all I have to work with is a molex connection correct?

For convenience, just use the PCIe connector on your PSU. Yes, the one from your GPU is a converter from a Molex to a 6pin PCIe connector. I'm also not sure if that metal thing would cause any problem, it's there for a reason you know. :) Just to be safe, use the one from the PSU which has all the 6 silver connectors.
