So here's my question/situation...

Right now I have dual 4gb R290's in crossfire (not the x mind you). I currently game on a 27 inch 1440 IPS dispaly and I play way more Witcher 3 type games than hardly any first person shooters.

I've been thinking about moving over to a single 980GTX Ti 6gb card (ive got the cash), giving one of my 4gb R290's to my brother (so he will now have two) and maybe just selling the other.

Do you guys think a solid GTX980ti (6g) will outperform my current 290's in CF? Sometime down the road I might make the jump to a 4k monitor but I don't know when. Could be in a couple of months, could be this spring/summer.

Let a brotha know whats up.

Personal opinion here...one card (whilst it may not have the grunt of two) is almost always better. Less power draw, less heat, less hassle on the driver front. A 980Ti will not be much (if any) slower than two R9 290's.

Do exactly as you suggested - Buy the 980Ti, give one 290 to yer bruv, flog the other.
