Hi i want to set up a water cooling for my overclocked 8700k. And i want to install 2x240mm Rads just for my 8700k (yes i understand this is WAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYY overkill but aesthetic wise) so how would i need to set up my loop?
pump -> rad -> cpu -> rad -> back to pump???

I suppose by lowest-common-denominator debate, yes, that is correct. I've watercooled for 16 years and I've only ever had 1 single leak over any system I have built...and it was my own fault on a fitting that came a bit loose.

What I am trying to say is, most of the custom watercooling leak failures out there are human error, including mine.

AIOs are in a different category, but mishandling radiators (screws, punctures, etc) and flexing of tubing and plastic can cause fractures that can result in leaking. Otherwise, mostly O-ring/seals around pump/block.

2 Days ago i was taking apart a Phobya Waterblock because i wanted to reuse it but clean it before since it was actually pretty dirty. Well i wasnt careful and misplaced that little thing top of the fins and therefore had a tiny little gap between the coldplate and the toppart. My Motherboard was a swimmingpool in seconds 🙁

Yeah, that can happen, especially with O-rings and internal block components like directional and jet plates. I pulled apart my EK 1070FE full cover block a couple weeks ago to clean it...getting that weirdly shaped rubber grommet back into place was a bit of a trick, but no issues so far.

My leak was a CPU fitting that came un-threaded just a tiny bit when I was securing tubing between CPU and GPU blocks. Got some coolant on my 8800GTS and EVGA replaced it via RMA, no questions asked.
