Okay. So while building my system I had gotten a 4GB Corsair Vengeance (ver 3.24). 2 months later I bought another 4GB corsair vengeance (ver 8.22), both 1600MHz. Then my computer started randomly restarting after a couple weeks. First it was only during gaming and then it started happening when using chrome. A couple of times, it even happened while I was watching a video on media player classic. So after a lot of troubleshooting I narrowed it down to RAM or PSU. So I ran memtest with one stick at a time. Test results passed. Then for some reason I forgot to put the other stick in and casually started gaming...to my surprise, not a single restart ever since...so I would really like your input on this...maybe you all know a fix for this?

Details:
Motherboard : ASUS M97 LE R2.0
CPU : AMD FX 8320 @ 3.5GHz
GPU : ATI R7 250X 2GB
PSU : Corsair VS550
OS : Windows 7 ultimate 64bit service pack 1

Okay I just did that. Will test it out by playing a few games and running some tests. Please keep this thread open. I will most definitely reply within the next 12 hours. Thank you :)

Sorry for the late reply, had to get some sleep. But, increasing the voltages didn't work. Got the restarts again. Maybe that stick is bad and memtest couldn't recognize? I don't know but this is one crazy problem.

Did that and it restarted again after 30 minutes. Guess they are just not compatible with each other as you said. Will try replacing and test when I can. Thanks again :)

EDIT : I just checked in CPU-Z and noticed that one RAM has xmp 1.2 and the other has xmp 1.3 profile respectively. Does this say something about the problem?

Oh okay...so is there any other solution? I am all out of options here but to run my system with just 1 stick of RAM.

I have this exact same problem! I have 2x 8GB corsair vengeance. So i dont think its a compatibility problem. My pc works fine with one stick without restarting and ive tested both sticks and each work. I didnt start experiencing this problem untill i had some sort of power surge. A strange noise came from my power strip and shut down my pc. ever since i have been experiencing random reboots.
