Hey! About a week ago I started getting blue screen errors such as "attempted write to read only memory" & "system Service exception". I was able to identify the problem to have something to do with my ram, since when I removed one of the sticks from my Computer, the errors stopped. However it does not matter which ram slot or ram stick im using, it only works if one of the two sticks is attached, but not both. The ram im using is SK Hynix DDR4 2400 8gb x2. What could be the problem, and can it be fixed? Computer is about 9 months old and has never been overclocked.
I believe I only have 2 ram slots in my motherboard so cant check if they worked in other slots.

Solution
I'm guessing that when you put in both sticks the motherboard is trying run in dual channel mode (a way of increasing RAM bandwidth) and there is a slight fault in one of the sticks and you get failures. You might be able to turn off dual channel mode in BIOS.

There is also the possibility that it is a fault on the motherboard rather than a memory stick.
