I am looking to have a setup like:

World --> Modem--> Router 1(WRT54GS running dd-wrt) --> Router 2 (Linksys e4200 stock firmware)

I can get router 1 to block certain websites (over 1k) of spam and porn sites and is tested to work. My problem is I want it just to do that, block the crap and then forward the connection to router 2 (wired). (It will not forward the connection to router 2).

Router 2 ideally, would assign addresses to people that and be the only source of wireless/wired connections to computers/tablets/phones/electronic devices.

The only thing I can think is that it is the settings between the two or I am trying to do the impossible.

Note:
1) I can not install the dd-wrt onto router 2 due to a hardware issue not allowing the firmware (stock or after market) to be updated, but it does save changes to settings.

2) I do not want to go the paid route ex. dyndns.org (limited for free).

3) The reason I want to do this is because I have spam blockers/malware/spyware/virus protection/popup blockers and yet somehow they seem to open inappropriate tabs to pages that are illegitimate. This has happened on both old and brand new devices on their first connection through my router.

I really hope this is possible.

Solution
Since the DDWRT router is acting as your gateway, you should allow it to handle DHCP. You can turn off wireless on this router and allow the second router to act as your wireless access point (and your central point of wired access if you wish).

Just connect your cable from a LAN port on the first router to a LAN (numbered) port on the second, and turn off DHCP on the second as well.
