First of all, I'd like to say that even though I am a new member I was following the forums for a long time and found many solutions in the past right here. Now, I need a little advice. :)

I have two routers, one from the ISP - CISCO EPC3925 (the one I get Internet from) and the one I use for WIFI in my home, Belkin F6D4230-4 V3 (I had it before I got the one from the ISP that supports WIFI). The Belkin router (we'll call it the 2nd router) is connected to the CISCO (main) router through LAN. My computer is connected through LAN to the 2nd router, and the tablet, phones and the second computer connect through WIFI to the same router.

Are there any special settings for this kind of setup that could affect performance (compared to the case when my computer would be connected through LAN and other devices through WIFI on the main router directly)?

I play games online a lot (mostly CSGO), so bad network performance is not an option (I think I noticed some weird lags in games).

I also apologize if I put the thread in the wrong section.

Thank you in advance.

How do I convert my wireless router to a wireless AP (Access Point)?

I recommend devices that are built for the purpose (switch and Access Point), but you can mostly do it with another router.
In a residential situation, there is almost never a need for 2 'routers'.

A second router can only be used as a switch, or possibly an access point.
In which case you are better served by getting dedicated devices to do exactly those functions.

But since you already have them...does it work the way you have it set up?
Turn off DHCP and the firewall functions on the second router.

It worked then and it works now. I had some problems with torrent speeds and port forwarding at start, so I turned off firewall on both. If I turn off DHCP on the second router, I can't use WIFI on other devices.

So, basically, the best solution is to remove the second router from use?
