2 short beeps and one elongated beep

I have a pc that i believe is about 9 years old, up until recently the pc was working fine but when i tried booting it up this morning it made 2 short beeps and then a single long beep before the beeping stopped, after the beeping had stopped the fans were still on but the display was blank do you guys have any idea as to what could be wrong with my pc? I did some research prior to asking and from what i read they suggested that it might just be the ram and that i need to take it out and give it a good clean before putting it back in.

it the ram or video card beep code..off hand i try and reset the video card and or try a test gpu. also if the pc is 9 years old change the cmos battery. if it gone bad some mb wont post right. if the pc has onboard video it should post with no beeps if the bad gpu is removed.
