2 SLI or 1?

So im building a gaming rig with a budget around $300 for a graphics card.
I found this deal for this which i am going to buy two of these. P.S I found it on anoother website for $165 a piece http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127745

My other option is to buy one of these and SLI later http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125463

So basically my question is it better to buy two of the first option and SLI that or buy 1 of the second?

Get a 970. For $350 it is the best GPU deal around. It will max most games for quite a while at 1080p.

Why not a 970? Its similar in price to the 770 but performs better than 780, they have a bit of lead time but are a better performer in the long run.

The dual 760 setup will give you better performance than the 770 in some games, but in those that don't support SLI or don't scale well the 770 will come out ahead, that part of the downside to dual card setups.

What brand of 970 should I get?

I recommend the MSI Gaming 970 or Gigabyte G1 970. They are the top cards so far.

2 x 760's = 780 (roughly). GTX 970 is better than a 780.
