I have just finished building my new machine, very pleased with the whole thing. I'm now getting into the whole tweaking of the system to make sure I max out every little bit of performance I can.
I have a:
250GB SSD - SAMSUNG EVO
500GB SSD - SAMSUNG EVO
2TB HDD - SEAGATE BARRACUDA (72000 RPM)

I use Adobe Creative Suite 6 and Cinema 4D. The machine is 99% used for graphic design and I'm steering my attentions toward motion graphics.

Can anyone advise on the way I can best utilise my storage? Currently my 250GB SSD is in my old computer, the 500GB SSD has my OS and programmes on it, with the HDD used for final end storage of work.

My intention is to clone the contents of the 500GB SSD to the 250GB SSD and use the smaller capacity for my OS & Programmes. This will free up the larger SSD for using with live projects.

I have read about moving paging files and configuring scratch disks and caches for Adobe software. I have a novice understanding of this, and think that the forums are suggesting that provided the Primary C: drive is an SSD, there is not much benefit from moving the paging file/cache/scratch disk. I can name the second SSD as secondary scratch disk but it is unlikely it will be needed as I have 32GB RAM.

Can anyone shed any light on the above, or offer a better solution.

Thanks!

Right. Going to that 250GB, it needs to be under 200GB. So just move some old files/projects to the HDD.
